"The chosen one is alive" a deep voice said from behind the light grey cloak, his face obscured save for his eyes that glowed.
"We must find the child before the Mundanes do" a lovely lady in black and silver said, "Umi, summon the High Council"
"Yes, that's what I'm doing right now, Tsuki" a dark figure, emerged from the shadows leaning his back against the wall. His name is Umi, the tall and lean figure seemed to be deep in thought but was in fact summoning the 13 members of the high council. He was its head and high chairman but it was always the Three Pillars who made the final decision. The long haired figure seemd to be deep in thought but the other two Elders. Taiyou, was the eldest and the keeper of the pact between the "fallen angels" and "children of the light". He always wore his cloak not to shield himself from light but to sheild others from his power of fire, only the other two have seen him without his cloak. He had black skin and fiery eyes, the most powerful of the Three Elders The only entities he has no control over, were the Mundanes. Tsuki, the lady of the dark side of the moon. She takes care of the Nobilities of the High Court, who in turn, take care of the sires and fledgelings. And most importantly, the code of all fallen angels. Always dressed impeccably in black, its what some some people would call Yakuza . They are the Three Pillars of the Dark. They represent order in spite of the evil that is always connected to them by folklore. It was the Mundanes, who are the real threat to the balance between good and evil.
The Mundanes, used to be members of the high council. They have turned away from the Dark Veil and have gone out of control. Working under, Lady Yomi, the Mundanes have spread havoc and panic. Police and other authorities are left puzzled by the string of mysterious deaths not only in Tokyo but also in many far off prefectures in Japan.
"How long until they get here?" Taiyou asked, stealthily moving towards the fireplace at the far end of the room, like flashes of black at certain intervals till he reached the obsidian on the mantle. He touched it and it turned from black to blood red and cleared. He saw figures within, moving in haste.
"They're here..." Umi answered in his low voice, not looking up to meet Selena's gaze.
"How lovely" Tsuki said softly, "its been a long time since I've seen the Children." Her Children were those in the High Council she took care of over the millennia as she changed into a sleek black cat and retreating into the dark corridor.
"Let's start then" Taiyou, holding the obsidian, he blazed like a fireball before going up in smoke. Umi's skin became a glassy transparent, loosing its form and melted away.
In the dark boardroom, the long table was filled with the nobles of the High Council. At the head of the table were three steel high chairs of the Pillars. Tsuki changed back into her true form and sat on the far left, Umi's liquid state turned opaque until he returned to himself seated on the chair on the far right and Taiyou just flared into the room and assumed his seat in the center of the other two. The obsidian he carried flew from his hand and levetated to the silver skull in the middle of the table, turning to a blood red before being enveloped by a dark smoke.
"The coven may now commence," the elder spoke," please explain the reason we summoned them, Tsuki."
"Ahh, yes. Thank you, Taiyou" the lovely woman stood up and reached out her hand for the obsidian, her emotions well hidden through hooded lids. A sly smile appeared on ther lips as the orb cleared from being blood red, glowed and showed two figures. The legend of the chosen one unfolded before them.
"As we all know, there is a child born to save this world from the War of the Ancients. In the real world of humans, it has been catalouged as battles and wars of countries. But is truly between the Mundanes and the Childen of Light. We, as the Elders have seen this all since the beginning of time. We have been set by the Good One to keep his Fallen Angels from doing more harm and to keep the Mundanes at bay.
Although for the time being, the Mundanes are kept within their boundaries, nothing will truly hold them back from another uprising. You may have already heard from reports of the mass deaths in the lower provinces that have been documented as a disease outbreak. I know a lot of you are skeptical and I can understand this since it is the work of Lady Yomi. Her legion has increased over the years, we are looking at a huge army now. Only the chosen one can stop them." Tsuki showed them flashes of what was happening as she said them before turning to Umi. He nodded as Tsuki sat back down, letting the obsidian rest back on the silver skull, remaining clear as he stood up to speak.
"Well, as the Mundanes grow, out time is running out. I think minna had felt the great force emmenated like a ripple from the middle of the city. It means that the Chosen One has begun its awakening. We need warriors to retrieve the Chosen One and help fully awaken," Umi's brow was set as he spoke. His profile was that of an athlete, his stance was met with attention from the Children at the table.
"From which Jimousho will the warriors come from?" Lady Ayaka asked. Her warriors were one of the most talked about in the industry. In the human world the warriors and sires were seen and presented as teen idols. But she also knew that their prowess wasn't as honed as those of Lord Kitagawa's Samurais. SMAP, who were the ones who searched and found the Obsidian and returned it to the Pillars. KATTUN, whose specialty was quick sting operations, saved an important foreign dignitary from terrorists. Now it seems that Lord Kitagawa's samurais have earned the trust of Umi and the rest of the High Council.
"We shall decide that the usual way, its not only upon the Pillars to choose but also on the High Council. Each member must cast their vote within the hour. And as in the ways of old, we shall send in our scrolls to the Scribe and it shall be tallied according to House or now known as Jimousho" the svelte shapeshifter replied and the rest of the members nodded solemnly. But everyone knew who will get the mission as all the members cast their vote. Nods and discreet congratulatory smiles were already directed at Lord Kitagawa, who smiled and nodded back nonchalantly as one by one, the lords and ladies of the High Council cast their votes.
~~~
You can hear the thounderous voices of the fangirls as the five idols of Arashi walked away from the stage and towards their dressing room.
Drenched in sweat, they took off their concert tee-shirts and jeans, leaving only their lycra shorts.
"Yoooosh!" , Nino arched his back and streched. The strain on his back eased a bit, he had to do his rounds with the others tonight. Concert or no concert, they protected the area designated to them. Tonight was his favorite spot, Shinjuku Station and its neighboring areas. He was going to sneak up behind Riida when Sho-kun caught his attention. Riida was murmuring something even if he seemed to be staring into space, they joked about it in interviews but it was really one of Riida's abililties as a Kyuketsuki Samurai for the Jimousho. Johnny Kitagawa found very few kyuketsuki who can double as seers. There had to be one of them per group and he had to be the leader, so that Lord Kitagawa can summon the whole unit without causing any fuss. Righ now, Sho- who was also just in his lycra shorts-touched Riida. The sencond-in-command, he can see but only if he touched the person and if he concentrated enough. Beads of sweat slowly trickled from the rapper's already strained body. Dripping from his forehead, down his cheek and chin to fall onto his chiseled chest. He seemed like he was jsut closing his eyes but the other's knew better. Jun, wanted to do the same thing but knew he had to wait, they would tell the rest what was up. Aiba was somber, a stark contrast from his genki smiles and baka remarks on stage. He had to put on that mask, like the rest of them have. Aiba was really funny when he put his mind to it. Sho was both serious and dorky but was really an angsty guy. Ohno who seemed to be stoic, was the thinker and always considered what the others thought before making a final decision. Jun, who seemed to be aloof and diva-ish, was truly a good follower even if he really had a stubborn and sadistic streak. Nino, the prankster and who was always thought to be the gamer otaku, well he WAS that and more. He always helped plan the attack with the others, he was good at looking at all possible angles of attack and defense.
Yes, people saw them as idols but behind the glamour and fame, is the truth that the Jimousho was one of the institutions entrusted with keeping. The Jimousho was headed by one of the members of the High Court. In the underground scene of Japan, it was a government of sorts, keeping the darkness and light apart and for order to prevail.
Sho let go of Riida's shoulder, his eyes opened to reveal amber eyes. Pupils dilated to see something from afar but the vision was nowhere in sight but a hazy film in his horizon., he looked at Riida, who was still murmuring something under his breath. Sho knew they must get ready, they had work to do and nodded at Aiba. The tallest member touched Jun and Nino's shoulders, they knew already that they were being summoned by Lord Kitagawa. They needed to move fast, no time for a quick shower but Jun was like a flash and blinked himself in the bathroom. Aiba shook his head in dismay, that kid relly had to freshen up before the leave or he'd be blabbering all the way to the Jimousho.
Riida snapped awake and his eyes dimmed from amber to brown, their normal color. He was pale with all the concentration but still walked over to where Sho was trying to tell his personal assistant that they had "extra work tonight". Roxy knew what it was already, being assigned to Sho since she started her awakening. She was a low female Kyuketsuki, eyes of emerald green when she changed but can defend herself well. Now her brown eyes said nothing nor gave anything away, just a nod that she understood. Arashi was on the prowl, but with the way that her master looked, it was serious and heavier responsibility. Nino, took off his lycra shorts and underwear and took a big handtowel he had wrung water out of and started cleaning himself. Aiba had finished doing the same thing and was already in his dark jeans and a dark hoodie over a sweater he picked. The personal assistants and the rest of the staff were oblivious to their conversation and movements. They were important Kyuketsuki Samurais, and must not be bothered.
"I'll go on ahead minna. Matta ne" He just winked and disappeared but to the trained Kyuketsuki eyes, he walked faster than any human could see. Riida's eyes followed his group mate's movent out the door that nobody noticed, had opened and closed without a sound. Only they heard a very faint click. Ohno had stripped as well to clean himself of the days' work and strains. Sho saw the lights flicker from under the bathroom door. Jun was going out so he stood up and grabbed the youngest member's wrist, "You know we're in a hurry Jun-kun!"
"Mah..mah..its the same every since time anyway..just patrolling anf stuff!" he shrugged and tried to walk away.
"Next time you do this Jun-kun, Riida will take care of you" Sho nodded towards Ohno who was more stoic than ever but just nodded without looking at them.
"Matsumoto-kun, there are days you have to think of others as well ne. We have to look after each other and we're responsible for you ne. Just please don't do that again" Ohno's voice was loud and clear and very sure of himself. A true leader than he really let on to the public. Sho patted Jun's back,"Go on just get ready ne, we have a big one ahead tonight"
"Fine. Fine." the langky man got dressed in jeans and a loose tee.
"Haiyaku ne, Matsujun!" Nino was waiting near the door in his baggy jeans, dark shirt and cap before donning a blue trench.
"HAI!" he hated being told what to do and grumpily got dressed as Sho stripped and rubbed his body clean. Jun wore slim fit pants, a poloshirt and an argyle scarf. He was reaching for his gray jacket when a smirk on his lips appearead. He walked over to Nino and they left the room.
Riida was already in his bootleg jeans and white turtleneck before pulling on his sports jacket, " I'll see you in a while Sho-chan"
The rapper nodded as his hands reached for his clothes. Almost the same thing as Riida's only his jeans were baggier and his yellow hoodie showed over the dark sports coat he was shrugging on. He just walked to the open door and braced himself. His speed was not seen by therest of the world as he was soon outside Lord Kitagawa's office in Shibuya-ku. They had to talk first before they go in.
Title:[One Shot]The Chase
Pairing: Micky Yoochun x Kim YooBin
Genre: Romance
Type: Fluff
Author's note: please do not kill me if you think that YooChun and YuBin don't match but in my eyes they look great...we are all entitled to our own opinion
Disclaimer: I DO NOT own either group and don't know them personally so i don't know if they really are going out or not
THE CHASE
It
was another day of recording and YuBin and was tired but satisfied with
their work. YuBin waived goodbye to the others as she walked towards
the elevators to the parking area near the back of the building.
Rummaging through her bag for her car keys not seeming to find it.
Cursing under her breath, she gave up and just waited for the elevator
to stop at her floor, tapping her brown boots in impatience. She
returned to looking for her car keys, her hair covering half of her
pretty face, she didn't notice the tall guy who was waiting behind
her. The bell pinged, the elevator door opened, the people emptied into
that floor. She was still pissed and looking into her bag unable to
find her car keys when the guy behind her kept the elevator door open
with his hand.
"Kamsahamnida," she muttered to the guy, still not
looking up. The tall man wore a pinstriped sports coat over his black
wife beater and baggy jeans and big leather boots. He smiled as the
YuBin pushed the already lighted button for the ground floor parking.
He leaned closer, taking a whiff of her hair. She still smelled the
same, like a warm cup of vanilla cream over coffee, the same sensual
scent she always wore and loved. Her silky tan skin was still smooth
from where he stood behind her. YooChun was trying his best not to
touch her yet. The elevator bell pinged again, Ground Floor Parking.
YuBin got out hurriedly and turned left. She finally found her car
keys, it was attached to the purple monkey keyring her love gave her
before she left. She missed him, his smile, his fluffy hair she loved
running her hands through. The crinkles at the side of his eyes when
he smiles, gwiyeoun. She walked to the driver's side and tried the key
but the door wouldn't open. She muttered again but she heard a low
chuckle near the car. Glancing towards the sound, she saw a tall guy.
He looked familiar but she couldn't place him.
"Yes?" She asked him,
she has enough on her hand as of the moment to think of some weirdo.
The guy just smirked and pointed at the car plates. She looked at the
car's plate number, it wasn't hers. Her face flushed a deep red,
embarassed at the situation. She bowed," Mianhamnida" Turned and
walked away but Micky caught her arm,"Yeogiseo naeryeo jusaeyo"
"Sorry" She was in a hurry to get home, she was waiting for a phone
call, his hold on her wrist loosened. YuBin turned, her hair bounced
as she did so. Micky saw her give him a little smile, the one that
mystified him when he first saw her. The petite girl looked for her
car and found it parked further down the aisle, she got in and gunned
the engine. He saw her drive out of the parking lot and turn right
onto the highway. It was already 11pm. Not much cars in sight,
YuBin's thoughts were intrigued by that tall guy. His face was awfully
familiar but she just couldn't put her finger on it. She saw the car
behind her flash its headlights on her rear view mirror and it pulled up
alongside hers. It was that guy again.
"Pull over!!" he shouted
over the roar of the engines. She didn't want to but saw that her gas
was on empty and had to pull over at the curb, she was near a plaza.
The girl rapper reached of her bag before getting out of the car and
slamming the door closed. YuBin didn't notice the guy behind her.
"Hi,
remember me?" the guys hair in the way of his face and she really had a
hard time figuring out who he was and why in the world he kept
following her around.
"Who the heck are you? Are you a stalker?" she fumed.
"You
can say that I'm your number one fan" he smiled, she knew that smile.
She knew how it crept up to his eyes and made he knees weak. She
couldn't believe it.
"M-micky?" her low sultry voice softly let out his name.
before
letting her arms go round his neck. His low chuckle was music to her
ears. She missed him so much. Its been months since they've seen each
other. Months since she left with the rest of Wonder Girls and JYP on
tour.
His arms went round her waist,"You're still pretty my YuBin."
She
pulled away and let his lips brush against hers, she couldn't believe
she didn't recognize him just because he had a new haircut. But it was
him. Those strong arms around her made her feel safe again. Then she
heard him whisper," Saranghae"
Prologue
A man in a dark kimono, carrying a samurai and a woman in a
white kimono were running through the woods. It was dark and cold, a
fine mist enveloped the whole length of the riverbank they were running
alongside of. The woman looked so immaculate, cradling a bundle in her
arms, her light brown hair and deep-set blue eyes a stark contrast to the being beside her. They were running away from something...No, someone... Then the
man stopped and turned. His eyes reflecting the moonlight, silver.
The pupils dilated but not as any normal human would, he was a Vampire.
The woman was fair and light-footed, seemingly floating along but her
lovely face was clouded with fear. The woman stopped as the bundle in
her arms cried, she was pacifying the child.
"Please don't cry my
love," the woman softly cooed to the child and turned her hazel eyes to
the man, "Hisato, where are we going?"
"We have to take her to a
safer place. They can't find her there, I'll make sure they won't .
Daijoubu, Hoshiko." the being's eyes soften as their eyes met, taking
her and the child into his strong arms. They hear a twig snap from
afar. The running resumes, then came flashes of light and blood.
Finally...darkness as a shriek echoed into the night.
*deep sigh* it seems that i have to come out of my hiatus just to say this...someone reposted my pic of sho and used it as their avy in Crunchyroll
>>> this pic actually,which was only visible to my family and friends>>>
I'm afraid I would have to lock my posts now..at least all my pics for the meantime. If anyone plaigiarizes my fics, which are copyrigthed btw, i will be forced to take action next time. To think she's 23 years of age, you'd think she'd have the decency of asking for my permission or at least say credit to the original poster. I mean the scan isn't mine but i did alter it and my name is on it. At least have the sense to ask me if its ok to use it ne? I emailed her and she took the avy down as I requested, I hope she doesn't use it elsewhere though. I'm ok now..*crawls back under my rock*
The future belongs to those who give the next generation reason for hope.
As we mentioned in early October, hundreds of bloggers engaged in the 2nd annual DonorsChoose.org Blogger Challenge, a friendly competition during the month of October to see who could raise the most money for or reach the most kids in low-income public schools.
The results of the competition are in! Once again, Sarah Bunting of Tomato Nation blew every other blogger out of the classroom by raising $111,352, and helping over 19,577 students. Sarah demonstrated the power of blogging by producing a campaign ad that asked her readers to vote with their wallets and it worked. Over the course of October, 1,162 donors "voted" and donated.
As the sponsor of the prize for the bloggers who reach the most kids, Six Apart would like to give a shout out to Sarah and the bloggers in each category who reached the most students.
(This is our San Francisco team. Our New York, Paris and Japan team send their thanks also!)
Nearly twice as many bloggers attracted 50% more donors than last year, making the competition fiercer than ever. But leaders emerged in each category, and we'd like to acknowledge their fine efforts.
In the Tech Blog category, Fred Wilson's AVC Blog reached 4,454 students.
In the Science Blog category, David Ng and Benjamin Cohen's The World's Fair blog reached 1,780 students.
In the Topical/Local Blog category, Ralph Alswang Photography reached 522 students.
In the Mommy Blog and BlogHer category, Alice of Finslippy reached 1,676 students.
In the Knitting Blog category, Rose-Kim Knits reached 597 students.
In the Music Blog category, music teacher Walt Ribeiro reached 910 kids.
In the Sports Blog category, Sports Crackle Pop reached 465 kids.
Along with our thanks and congratulations, each winner will receive some choice schwag from our team at Six Apart.
As the creator of three leading blog platforms - Vox, TypePad and Movable Type - and the provider of social media services and advertising solutions, we are thrilled to participate in an event that raises awareness about the power and influence blogging can have, while also raising money for a very worthwhile cause: The future bloggers of America!
Thanks again to everyone who participated.
